What we did on 12th Feb
We started the session by recapping on the week before.
We ……
Started up Photoshop
Opened photographs in photoshop ( File Open)
Looked at its levels (Enhance Adjust Lighting Levels) or (ctrl L).
Saved the new edited photograph using File Save as.
The main theme of the session was BLOGS so we discussed the principles and then searched google to see if there was any information about how to set up a blog.
THERE WERE THOUSANDS OF SITES TO CHOOSE FROM!
We chose to set up a BLOG through Google and followed the process and chose a design. We set up permissions inviting everyone with emails to accept and post a comment to a post that we set up. We set up emails for people who needed them.
The BLOG is qubewinterwarmers.blogspot.com
What we did on 19th Feb
The main aim of the session was to become comfortable with connecting camera and devices to the PC.
We discussed software that came with devices and it was pointed out that modern PC’s have drivers (software) built in so that the camera disk will show up in My computer and can be accessed like any other Drive that holds information ie C: the computers main hard drive or a CD ROM.
Printers will have useful software that will need to be installed for in to communicate and work with the PC.
We practiced connecting cameras and transferring pictures using drag and drop into folders that were made on the desktop.
For people who were comfortable with this task a Photoshop task was posted on the qubewinterwarmers blog to follow.
